Meet ... Maurine

Category: Article

MaurineMaurine has been working for AFTD since October 2011. She works up front as the receptionist. She answers the phones, works a lot in the database programs, logs mail, helps keep Ernie organized, and helps with marketing and maintenance issues. There are some really great people here in this office and they have been very helpful and accommodating as she has learned this job. Prior to AFTD, Maurine worked in the Vallivue School District as a substitute teacher, and standardized test proctor. Maurine was raised in the Treasure Valley and has enjoyed living here with her family. She has been married to Eric for nearly 24 years. They have five beautiful daughters. The oldest is married and just graduated from college. She has another one in college and one who just graduated from high school last week and will begin college in the fall. That will leave her with the two remaining daughters in high school. They keep her very busy with their schedules and all of the band and choir concerts, dance classes/recitals, dance competitions, volleyball, track, church activities, etc. First and foremost, Maurine loves being a mom and doing things for her daughters. They enjoy being together. They are a very musical family and spend a lot of time singing, playing the piano and working on musical talents. They love to camp, attend plays, concerts and participate in outdoor activities. Maurine has served a lot over the years in her church, in the community and on various school district committees. These things keep her very busy and involved in her kids' lives.
